Wymeswold

Wymeswold is in the Charnwood district of Leicestershire. The village was formerly the site of RAF Wymeswold, a memorial to which can be seen on the wall of Wymeswold pharmacy. There is a greengrocer and general store, two pubs (The Three Crowns & The Windmill) and a restaurant (Hammer & Pincers). There are many clubs and societies including; Guide and Scout groups, dancing, aerobics and karate classes, bowls, cricket, cycling and football clubs. At the southern edge of the village, the 'Washdyke' recreational area contains play equipment, a BMX track, football pitch and community orchard. Nearest Airport: East Midlands (12.4 miles).
