Worthington

Worthington is a small village surrounded by countryside situated within easy access to Coalville and the historic market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The local Norman church is a particular feature of the village and there are a number of properties dating from this period in history. The parish lock-up is believed to have been built in the late 18th century. It is an octagonal building but is called the Round House which we understand was originally used as a lock-up for stray cattle. Local amenities include the village pub, primary school, shop, post office and bus service.
