Queniborough

Queniborough is a village north of Leicester and it is particularly famous for its Parish church (St Mary's) of which Pevsner said "It has one of the finest spires in the whole of Leicestershire. There is a primary school, a quality butcher/delicatessen (Clarke's), and a ladies & gents hairdresser. There are two Public Houses both situated in the centre of the old part of the village. The Post Office and corner shop opens Monday to Saturday 7:30 am to 7 pm. A little further along is the village newsagent, who sells many other things and who also delivers daily and Sunday newspapers. The village hall is used for a number of activities including; keep fit, badminton and a pre-school playgroup. Nearest Airport: East Midlands (23.8 miles). Nearest Train Station: Sileby (4.5 miles). Nearest Town/City: Leicester (8.8 miles). Nearest Motorway: M1 (J21a)
