During Autumn of 2019, the country was subjected to severe flooding with some areas of the UK experiencing their wettest Novembers on record. Sileby was no exception, with the local area ravaged by flooding and submerging Sileby Town Cricket Club's playing field.
The timing couldn't have been worse for the club, either, with their new changing facility unable to be completed in order to comply with building regulations and the waterlogged field forcing the cancellation of a fireworks event designed to raise funds.

What can we do?
The club has set up a crowdfunding page in order to raise £8,864.
What will the money go to?
- Render the new changing facility
- Replacement of the non-turf area of the square
- Reseed the square following the floods
- Replacement of perimeter fence
Yes! With new families coming into the area and new developments being built, Sileby is a growing community that needs continued investment to provide the best facilities and quality of life for its residents.
